Best of the Best: 2017 Shooting Guards
Much like the top point guards, the shooting guard spot is full of talent in 2017. From pure athletes to natural scorers, this list is as exciting as any. Here are the five best shooting guards from the initial Flo40:

5. Lonnie Walker -- Reading (PA) -- Flo40 Rank: 25

Walker saw his stock soar and is a hot commodity with some of the country's top schools after he finished a strong summer with Team Final. Plus, the 6-foot-4 Walker is a good athlete who can score at multiple levels. He has one of the best final list videos out there (see for yourself below), and is down to Arizona, Kentucky, Miami (FL), and Syracuse, and Villanova. Kentucky is the latest to have an in-home visit with Walker.

4. M.J. Walker -- Jonesboro (GA) -- Flo40 Rank: 22

No relation to Lonnie, but just as talented. At 6-foot-4, the Georgia native was the leading scorer during the Under Armour Association regular season, and often showcased his athleticism and strong frame that are ready for the next level. Walker's recruitment isn't overly publicized, but is currently pursued by the likes of Florida State, Kansas, Maryland, and Ohio State, among others.

3. Troy Brown -- Centennial (NV) -- Flo40 Rank: 11

Known for his versatility, the 6-foot-6 Brown is used to doing it all. He can excel at multiple positions on both offense and defense, and has a complete game with his athleticism and basketball IQ. Brown has been busy lately, too. He has two visits down (Ohio State, Alabama) and three to go (Oregon, Kansas, Georgetown).

2. Hamidou Diallo -- Putnam Science Academy (CT) -- Flo40 Rank: 10

An incredible athlete with length and bounce, the 6-foot-5, high-flying Diallo is one of the most explosive prospects in this class. Watching his highlights is enough to understand why he's getting visits from the likes of Arizona and Kentucky, and has a long, long list of offers.

1. Gary Trent, Jr. -- Prolific Prep (CA) -- Flo40 Rank: 8

Now at Prolific Prep (CA), Trent, Jr., is a three-tier scorer and has one of the prettiest-looking jump shots of anyone at this level. The 6-foot-5 guard is a high-volume scorer, but can put up some ridiculous numbers and damage opponents along the way. His final five of Arizona, Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State, and UCLA will be fun to follow.
