Arizona Clobbers Mataro All-Stars For Another Impressive Win
The Arizona Wildcats followed up its huge opening win with another impressive 99-74 victory over Mataro All-Stars in Barcelona.
Call it a minor test by comparison. Perhaps it was just a slight push. Arizona's second exhibition game in Spain wasn't quite the 69-point blowout like the opener, but the Wildcats overcame a seemingly slower start to handle their business on Wednesday afternoon.
For anyone hoping this top-ranked squad would be challenged abroad, it didn't last long. Most teams usually have a new gear. Arizona showed it has a completely different level in a 99-74 win over the Mataro All-Stars at Ravello Municipal Teresa Mario Roca in Barcelona.

Following a fairly competitive first half, which saw the lead in single digits over midway through the second quarter, the Wildcats turned on the jets to take a 16-point halftime lead and never looked back.
Junior guard Allonzo Trier showed off his All-American potential by stuffing the stat sheet with 21 points, five rebounds, eight assists, and four steals, while freshman phenom Deandre Ayton added 18 points and 10 rebounds to help Arizona improve to 2-0 on the tour.
The Wildcats also got 14 points from Dusan Rustic, 10 more from Dylan Smith, and nine from Brandon Randolph.
Sophomore guard Rawle Alkins sat out the contest with a strained left shoulder.
