With the No. 16 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the Las Vegas Aces select 5'5 Dyaisha Fair. Fair averaged 22 points a game this season for the Orange and is ranked 3rd in DI history for career points. The Aces are the reigning WNBA Champions.

With the No. 6 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the Washington Mystics select UConn's Aaliyah Edwards. Edwards helped lead the Huskies to the NCAA Final Four and led the team in rebounds averaging 9.3 rebounds per game.

Dallas Wings Select Ohio State's Jacy Sheldon No. 5 In The 2024 WNBA Draft

With the No. 5 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the Dallas Wings select Ohio State's Jacy Sheldon. Sheldon played five seasons for the Buckeyes and was a 2023-24 AP All-American. 

Sheldon becomes the first Ohio State player drafted in the 1st round of the WNBA Draft since Kelsey Mitchell in 2018.

Los Angeles Sparks Select Rickea Jackson From Tennessee

Rickea Jackson joins Cameron Brink as the newest member of the Los Angeles Sparks. Jackson comes from the University of Tennessee and was one of the most coveted wings in the 2024 WNBA Draft. The Sparks are working to rebuild after having not made the WNBA Playoffs for the last three seasons.

This is the fourth straight WNBA Draft with a Tennessee player taken in the first round.

The WNBA Draft is scheduled for  7:30 p.m. EST on April 15 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, New York.  

This marks the first time the WNBA Draft will be a seated event with fans in attendance since the 2014-2016 draft held at Mohegan Sun Arena.
