TEAM PREVIEW:
Providence Day earned its first invite to DICK'S Nationals last season before falling in the first round to national powerhouse Monteverde Academy. This season, it will begin the season in the top 25, which is new territory for a program whose success has improved rapidly over the last four seasons. Since 2012-13, Providence Day has gone 103-20. The four years before, the squad posted just a 44-72 mark. Featuring a very talented returning backcourt duo of Dotson and Wertz, the much-improved program is certainly deserving of its ranking. Key additions of young pieces will also help continue the growth after losing three starters to graduation. Look for Providence Day to make noise this year in North Carolina and compete for another state title.
