Steve Smith Guides No. 1 Oak Hill Into Another Promising Season

MOUTH OF WILSON, Va. — It has all started to set in for Steve Smith. Career win No. 1,000 and seeing that 2016 DICK’S Nationals banner hang inside the Turner Gymnasium is something the legendary coach to is used to now. It will be hard to ever forget the special ride of last season, but there’s a lot to like about No. 1 Oak Hill Academy as it begins its title defense on Tuesday.

With a stacked and balanced roster, the Warriors will look to uphold the program’s tradition and seek to cut down the nets with another national title.

Smith sat down with FloHoop’s Brett Regan to talk about last year’s magical journey, his career, and the outlook on this 2016-17 squad moving forward.
