No. 13 Jonesboro Discovers Winning Touch

Whether it's an unblemished record or a viral poster dunk, everything has clicked this season for No. 13 Jonesboro (AR), which has proven it deserves to remain in the national spotlight time and time again.

In basketball, there is a fine line between good and great teams. Good ones have the ability to win. Great ones find a way to win. The Hurricane have been the latter.

Another example was Tuesday night. Sure, Jonesboro didn’t have its best game or its greatest offensive output, but a grinding 48-45 win over West Memphis kept the dream season alive with a 21-0 record and showed yet another way to get the job done.

Led by veteran head coach Wes Swift and the dynamic backcourt of junior Desi Sills (Arkansas) and senior Marquis Eaton (Arizona State), the Hurricane started the season far from full strength. They didn’t have a handful of players due to football, and big man Sailsu Yahaya didn’t become eligible until late January.

Jonesboro can score all over the floor and really pressure defensively. Better yet, it knows how to win.
