High School Rewind: NBA Lottery Pick Malik Monk Dazzled As A Prep Star At Bentonville
Anyone who watched Malik Monk play in high school knew this was coming. The 6-foot-3 bucket-getter was always on the fast track to the NBA, and now it will become a reality on Thursday night.
Following a stellar freshman season at Kentucky in which he averaged 19.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, Monk will assuredly be a lottery pick in this week's NBA draft.
Before that, however, Monk put on a show at Bentonville (AR) by posting 28.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists as a senior and throwing down some of the best dunks in the prep game.
There was no stopping him then. Chances are there will no stopping him now, either.
