Now that Session 3 is in the books, we're three quarters of the way done with the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) season! The third session showcased arguably some of the best performances of the AAU season:
5. 2017 6’ 2” PG Trae Young (Mokan Elite): 36 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds, 12-21 FG, 7-8 FT, 5-10 from 3
Young has been one of the most dominant guards in the EYBL circuit, averaging 20.8 points and 7.2 assists per game. He ranks in the top five in both categories and has been the orchestrator of a 10-1 start for his Mokan Elite. He nearly put up a second triple-double in Session 3, going off for 36 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds in a 93-74 win over Phoenix Phamily.
4. 2017 6’ 4” SG Brad Davison (Howard Pulley): 37 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds, 13-22 FG, 6-7 FT, 5-7 from 3
Davison put together a monster performance to keep Howard Pulley unbeaten against California Supreme in a 92-91 game. He nearly notched a triple-double, scoring 37 points to go along with 9 assists and 8 rebounds. He was an efficient 13-22 from the field, and 5-7 from beyond the arc in the big win. Davison is averaging 16.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in EYBL play.
3. 2017 6’ 1” PG Markell Johnson (King James): 33 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, 5 assists, 4 blocks, 12-19 FG, 9-14 FT
Johnson is one of the top guards on the circuit, averaging 17.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. In one of the most impressive showdowns of session 3, Johnson went off for a complete 33 point, 6 rebound, 6 steal, 5 assist, and 4 block performance in an 80-74 win over We All Can Go.
2. 2017 7’ 0” C DeAndre Ayton (California Supreme): 23 points, 17 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 blocks, 9-18 FG, 5-5 FT
Ayton has proven himself as the top prospect in the class of 2017 this summer, completely dominating in the EYBL circuit. Ayton is averaging 19.8 points and 11.6 rebounds per game and has been very efficient from the free throw line, shooting 86%. He put together one of the most impressive performances on the circuit, going off for 23 points, 17 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 blocks in a 77-70 win over Boo Williams.
1. 2017 6’ 6” SG Gary Trent Jr (Howard Pulley): 46 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 15-31 FG, 10-12 FT, 6-14 from 3
Trent Jr. has been the best player on the only undefeated team remaining in the Nike EYBL. Second in the EYBL in scoring, Trent Jr. is averaging 23.2 points per game to go along with 6.2 rebounds. His most impressive performance was an 85-82 overtime win against Southern Stampede, where he scored a circuit-leading 46 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. He also went 10-12 from the free throw line.

2017 7’ 1” C Zach Brown (Nike South Beach): 14 points, 26 rebounds, 7 blocks, 7-14 FG
Brown had an incredible performance in Session 3, and is averaging 6.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 3.8 blocks per game in EYBL play.
2017 6’ 9” SF Michael Porter Jr (Mokan Elite): 30 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists, 11-19 FG, 6-6 FG
Porter Jr. led Mokan Elite to an impressive 10-1 record, averaging 21.2 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.
2017 6’ 8” PF PJ Washington (Team Penny): 29 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks, 7-11 FG, 15-21 FT
Washington has been one of the most dominant players on the circuit, averaging 19.7 points and 11.4 rebounds per game for 9-2 Team Penny.
2017 6’ 4” SG Anthony Gaines (Albany City Rocks): 22 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, 10-14 FG
Gaines has had a breakout summer on the circuit, averaging 17.9 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.
2017 6’ 10” PF Jaren Jackson (Spiece Indy Heat): 30 points 10 rebounds, 8-18 FG, 12-21 FT
Jackson has led Spiece Indy Heat to an early 8-3 record, averaging 17.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game
2017 7’ 0” C Nick Richards (Expressions Elite): 17 points, 17 rebounds, 4 blocks, 6-14 FG
Richards has put together an impressive spring, averaging 11.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game for Expressions Elite.
2017 6’ 0” PG Quade Green (PSA Cardinals): 17 points, 11 assists, 6 steals, 4-15 FG, 8-8 FT
Green is the assist leader throughout the AAU circuit, averaging 10.2 assists to go along with an impressive 2.7 steals and 13.1 points per game.
2017 6’ 0” PG Tremont Waters (Expressions Elite): 20 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 6-10 FG, 4-4 FT, 4-5 from 3
Waters has played well on the circuit, averaging a balanced 14 points, 5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.
2017 6’ 10” PF Kaleb Wesson (All Ohio Red): 26 points, 16 rebounds, 9-12 FG, 7-8 FT
Wesson has been a consistent contributor for All Ohio Red, averaging 12.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
2017 6’ 8” PF Chuma Okeke (Georgia Stars): 20 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 9-14 FG
Okeke has shown his ability to be a dominant big man, averaging 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in EYBL play.
