City Rocks defends turf against international power, China.

The first day of Rumble in the Bronx had some delay but did not disappoint with the headlining match between Albany City Rocks EYBL versus the Chinese National team. The Chinese National team featured the best players from China 18 and under. This game was a little different to what City Rocks is used to. This game was played according to FIBA rules. Four quarters, ten minutes each, and with the striped FIBA basketball.

City Rocks opened the game with a huge 15-point lead, catching the high-tempo China squad off-guard. After a short timeout, China gathered themselves and fought back. Unfortunately for the Chinese, Nahziah Carter (c/o 17) and company were just too much to handle. China got as close as 6 points but City Rocks pulled away to a 66-56 victory.

Up next for City Rocks, they'll play against NJ Wolfpack Saturday at 1:50pm EST and Crown Basketball at 7:40pm. Next for the Chinese National team, they'll square off against Tremont Waters and Expressions Elite of the EYBL at 6:30pm. All three games can be seen here.

Other Games of Note
Eastern Blizzard defeated Lightning 40-36
Ron Harper Jr., son of NBA Champion and former Chicago Bull Ron Harper, led Ring City Elite to victory over Team Sizzle, 50-41.
