Top Guard
2017 6’ 5” SG M.J. Walker (Atlanta Xpress) 20.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, .469 FG%
MJ Walker was the only player on the Atlanta Xpress to average double figures in the scoring column, finishing as the leading scorer with an average of 20.7 points per game. Walker had a great summer circuit, and played his best in the biggest game of the season for his team. In a game that determined the tiebreaker between Atlanta Xpress and Connecticut Basketball Club, Walker scored 32 points, going 10-18 from the field and 10-11 from the line. Walker carried his team to a postseason berth with his elite play.Top Big Man
2017 6’ 8” SF Kris Wilkes (Indy Hoosiers) 20 points, 6 rebounds, 1.2 steals, .563 FG%
Although Wilkes is listed as a small forward, he played the role of big man on a talented Indy Hoosiers team, averaging 20 points and 6 rebounds per game. While the Under Armour Association was thin at the big man position, Bourama Sidibe, Nate Watson, Ira Lee, and Josip Vrankic all filled the void, and all have an argument as the top true big man during the association regular season. Wilkes played at a higher level than these big men, however, and was most deserving of the billing as the Association’s top big man.FloHoops First Team All-UAA
