Milton (Ga.) shooting guard Alex O’Connell has committed to Duke. The Friday afternoon announcement on Twitter came just days following an offer.

At 6-foot-6, O’Connell, which many other outlets rate in the Top 100, is the first to commit to the Blue Devils in 2017, and pledged to the program over Louisville, Syracuse, Arizona State, and Mississippi, among others.

O’Connell is the son of former Blue Devils guard Dave O’Connell, who played from 1973-76.
