Corona Del Sol (AZ) point guard Alex Barcello is staying close to home. Last Friday, the 6-foot-2 prospect for 2017 started the weekend with some buzz and committed to Arizona on Twitter.

A member of the FloHoops All-Peach Invitational First Team after averaging 25.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game during the tournament, Barcello is the first prospect to commitment to Sean Miller and Arizona for next season.

He chose the Wildcats over finalists Butler, Indiana, Stanford and Virginia.
