The point guard spot is highly sought and incredibly deep in 2017. In fact, 13 prospects made the initial Flo40 from the position. Here are the five best senior floor generals in the country:

5. Jaylen Hands -- Foothills Christian (CA) -- Flo40 Rank: 24

Hands has been committed to UCLA for a year now and nothing has slowed him down ever since. The 6-foot-1 point guard can make things happen all over the floor. He's quick and active on both ends, gets teammates involved, and can score. Not to mention, he can make some loud highlights like he did at the adidas Eurocamp in Italy this summer.



4. Quade Green -- Neumann-Goretti (PA) -- Flo40 Rank: 23

Easily one of the toughest players in 2017, Green capped off a stellar summer by helping the PSA Cardinals reach the Peach Jam finals. His game continues to mature and develop, and is now a hot commodity with several point guards committing across the country. Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and Syracuse have been in heavy pursuit lately.

3. Collin Sexton -- Pebblebrook (GA) -- Flo40 Rank: 13

Simply put, Sexton is an elite scorer and arguably the best in the country. Perhaps no prospect had a better summer, either. The 6-foot-1 bucket getter led the Nike EYBL in scoring to start it all off, and followed it up with an MVP and gold medal for USA Basketball 17U. Sexton has taken an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech and official visits to NC State and Alabama this fall. He is set to visit Oklahoma State this weekend and Kansas on September 30, with Arizona, Florida, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, North Carolina, and Villanova in the mix for the final visit.

2. Trae Young -- Norman North (OK) -- Flo40 Rank: 12

As a floor general, Young is as good as it gets. He does everything. The 6-foot-1 point guard is one of the best shooters out there, can get to and finish at the rim, has a nasty floater, plays strong defense, and is phenomenal in transition. Young is talented and makes everyone around him better. Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech or Washington will be lucky to land him.



1. Trevon Duval -- IMG Academy (FL) -- Flo40 Rank: 5

Duval started the week on the front page with the announcement of his transfer to IMG Academy (FL) for his final prep season, but the 6-foot-2 guard is no stranger to attention. Duval is as good as advertised, and while not an elite shooter, his strength and explosiveness surely make up for it. It's hard to argue against Duval's status here. His finalists are Arizona, California, Kansas, Maryland, Oregon, Seton Hall, St. John's, USC, and Villanova.
