The nation's top player resides here. While this position is diverse and sometimes unclear, there's tons of talent in this list, and all of these prospects are ranked high in the initial Flo40. Here are the Top 5 for 2017:
5. Brian Bowen -- La Lumiere (IN) -- Flo40 Rank: 16
A long, athletic wing, the 6-foot-7 Bowen is a great scorer, and will be a natural at the next level and potentially beyond. His athleticism helps him get to any spot he wants on the floor, and he's a great passer. There's so much to like about his game. His finalists, as of early August, are Arizona, Creighton, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, NC State, Oregon, Texas, UCLA, and UNLV.
4. P.J. Washington -- Findlay Prep (NV) -- Flo40 Rank: 15
Playing for his father at Findlay Prep this season, Washington will be the main attraction there. The 6-foot-7 forward deserves the spotlight, too. He is a hybrid, can play inside or out, and has a big, athletic frame. Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, NC State, Texas, UCLA, and UNLV are his finalists.
3. Billy Preston -- Oak Hill Academy (VA) -- Flo40 Rank: 14
The 6-foot-9 Preston made news this week when he adjusted his final list. No longer is Arizona in the mix, and he replaced it with two new additions. With his transfer to Oak Hill Academy this year, there's no doubt his ability to score all over the floor, particularly in the paint, will help the defending national champions do big things this year.

2. Kevin Knox -- Tampa Catholic (FL) -- Flo40 Rank: 6
Knox is the real deal. There isn't much he can't do. His game is incredibly fluid, and he can pour it in from anywhere and everywhere.
It was a busy week for him on the recruiting front--he now has a top five.

1. Michael Porter, Jr. -- Nathan Hale (WA) -- Flo40 Rank: 1
Porter, Jr. needs no further introduction. The 6-foot-8 wing is a game-changer, and can take over any game at the flip of a switch. Although there is no suspense in his recruitment with his commitment to Washington, where his father is an assistant coach, it will still be fun to watch him showcase his hyper-athleticism and scoring arsenal this season.
