Best of the Best: 2017 Big Men
To say there is next-level talent here would be an understatement. It's not always the case that big men dominate the upper tier of the rankings, but 2017 is full of game-changing post players, especially at the top. Here are the five best senior big men in the class:

5. Brandon McCoy -- Cathedral Catholic (CA) -- Flo40 Rank: 9

Perhaps the biggest wildcard in terms of recruitment, the 6-foot-11 McCoy will definitely be a great prize whenever the choice is made. With a nice mid-level post game offensively and a strong presence on the block defensively, McCoy is bound to make a program happy. He holds offers from Arizona, California, UConn, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan State, Oregon, and San Diego State, among others.

4. Mitchell Robinson  -- Chalmette (LA) -- Flo40 Rank: 7

Something more rare than seeing so many big men in the Top 10 is a player of Robinson's caliber going to Western Kentucky. However, that is the case here. Robinson certainly falls into the category of game changer on both ends, and all signs point to a dominant collegiate career outside of a major conference in Conference USA. He is athletic and springy, and an amazing land for head coach Rick Stansbury.

3. Wendell Carter -- Pace Academy (GA) -- Flo40 Rank: 4

Duke is the presumed frontrunner for this skilled and powerful big man, but Harvard is heavy in the mix as well. Much like many on this list, there is so much to like about Carter's game. A strong arsenal on both ends will make him an instant impact wherever he goes.

2. Mohamed Bamba -- Westtown School (PA) -- Flo40 Rank: 3

Bamba is a special talent, no doubt. His presence alone makes things happen. Throw in his skill set with his long, athletic frame and it's easy to see his status on this list and in the initial Flo40. So far this fall, Bamba took an official visit to Michigan, an unofficial to Harvard and hosted Kentucky. He is a player to watch and follow throughout this process and beyond.

1. DeAndre Ayton -- Hillcrest Prep (AZ) -- Flo40 Rank: 2

A legitimate case could be made for Ayton being the top player in the entire class. It's hard to argue against it, too. The 7-footer, who recently made a surprise commitment to Arizona, has and can do it all. He is off the board so perhaps he is not as intriguing as some other bigs still left to decide, but Ayton is so unique and gifted that all eyes will continue to be on him in his final prep season.
