TEAM PREVIEW:
Norcross is one of several loaded Georgia teams in 2016-17. Winning at least 25 games in each of their last four seasons and finishing a combined 53-8 in the previous two campaigns, the Blue Devils will be led by talented, high-major star Rayshaun Hammonds. Norcross also returns a number of other talented prospects from last year's squad, including Lance Thomas, Jordan Goldwire, Kyle Sturdivant, and Robert Sims, among others. The Blue Devils gained two key in-state transfers in Joseph Toppling from Meadowcreek and Jordan Ferguson from St. Francis. Norcross is eager to finish atop the state for the first time since 2013, but it will have some fierce competition as Wheeler, Pebblebrook, Westlake, and others also reside in the rugged Georgia 6A state classification. Look for Norcross to be a darkhorse contender for its sixth state title.
