Leaders Of The Open Pack: The Top 5 Available 2017 Point Guards
Top 5 Point Guards Available, Best 2017 Point Guards, High School Point Guards
With National Signing Day approaching, FloHoops takes a look at the five best 2017 point guards still on the board:
School: IMG Academy (FL) | Flo40 Rank: 5
It has been two weeks since the nation's top point guard reopened his recruitment. Not a ton has materialized since, but anything is possible here and additional schools have begun to pursue the 6-foot-2 floor general. This is absolutely one of the top storylines to grab the popcorn and follow, because it likely will not end anytime soon. Duval will be an instant-impact player no matter where he lands.
School: Norman North (OK) | Flo40 Rank: 12
Of all of the top prospects Kentucky put the full-court press on for this past weekend at Big Blue Madness, Young had to have been at the top of the list, if not No. 1. It's no secret John Calipari's Wildcats are heavy in the mix with in-state program Oklahoma. The timetable for a decision is a little murky at the moment since Young will not sign during the early period, but it could be by the end of the year. In addition to Kentucky and Oklahoma, the prep star has taken a visit to Texas Tech and is scheduled to be at Kansas this weekend.
School: Pebblebrook (GA) | Flo40 Rank: 13
Perhaps the most potent and dynamic scorer in the country, it's easy to understand why Sexton is a such a coveted prospect for next season. Right now, Alabama and Kansas -- the two programs he has officially visited -- are the likely front-runners. Georgia, N.C. State, and Oklahoma State are also in his top 5, but it appears to be a two-program race.
School: Neumann-Goretti (PA) | Flo40 Rank: 23
Green was the most recent in the headlines with the announcement of his top 5 on Sunday.

The 6-foot-1 point guard was part of the star-studded list at Kentucky this past weekend, and Green will visit Syracuse and Villanova over the next two weeks. Then there's Duke and hometown Temple. This is a fun list for one of the toughest players in the nation. As for a decision, that is all up in the air.
Matt Coleman
School: Oak Hill Academy (VA) | Flo40 Rank: 34
With official visits to Duke and Stanford complete, the 6-foot-2 Coleman doesn't appear to be rushing the process. He still has three programs -- Kansas, Syracuse, and Texas (October 28) -- left in his top 5 to visit, if need be. Although Duke is the presumed front-runner here, Coleman is open. He is easily one of the best point guards in the country and will have a loaded team to lead this upcoming season.
Trevon Duval
