Georgetown Secures Its Future Floor General With Tremont Waters
2017 Flo40 Point Guard Tremont Waters Commits To Georgetown, Basketball Recruiting, 2017 Top High School Players
The second time was the charm. The final visit sold him. Flo40 point guard Tremont Waters is headed to Georgetown and the announcement Wednesday could start a chain reaction of commitments.

At 5-foot-11, the Notre Dame-West Haven (CT) floor general chose Georgetown after visits to the Hoyas, Indiana, Kansas, and Kentucky. In fact, Georgetown was his first official visit in early September, but it was the return trip over a month later that made it feel like home.
"I made my decision on my second visit to Georgetown," Waters explained during his press conference. "On my official visit I didn't really watch the basketball side, because they were touring us around campus and showing us the academic side. When I was there the second time, I got to see them practice and that pretty much wrapped it up."
The No. 37 prospect in 2017 is the only member of the Hoyas' class so far, following Gildman School (MD) guard Tyler Foster's de-commitment over the summer.
What does this mean? Well, it could be the start to the top available point guards making decisions sooner rather than later.
