Unbound Bucket Getters: The Top 5 Available 2017 Shooting Guards
Remember the Best of the Best: 2017 Shooting Guards? Believe it or not, the entire list is still available. It's only a matter of time before things really heat up here, but there hasn't been any shortage of news with the best prep bucket-getters in the land.

Gary Trent Jr.

School: Prolific Prep (CA) | Flo40 Rank: 8

The nation's top shooting guard has his finalists: Duke, Michigan State, and UCLA. The race is rather intense, too. A trip to presumed front-runner Duke is on the docket this weekend, and although he did not make his official visit to Michigan State last weekend, it could be rescheduled. UCLA has visited him this week, too. There are a lot of moving parts here, but that's to be expected when it comes to getting a prospect as good as Trent.

Hamidou Diallo

School: Putnam Science Academy (CT) | Flo40 Rank: 10

One of the most explosive and athletic players in the 2017 class doesn't even have to go to college. That's right, the 6-foot-6 Diallo is eligible for next year's NBA draft. However, he still plans to attend and play college basketball. Diallo went to UConn's First Night last weekend and also has the likes of Arizona, Syracuse, and UNLV after him.

Troy Brown

School: Centennial (NV) | Flo40 Rank: 11

In the craziness of National Signing Day, set some time aside for this. Mark November 9 as the date Brown is expected to announce his commitment. The 6-foot-6 guard is done with official visits following trips to Alabama, Georgetown, Kansas, Oregon, and Ohio State this fall. He has also been on unofficial visits to other finalists Arizona, California, and UNLV, too. It's hard to say where Brown might go, but he has certainly done his homework and traveled across the country to find the right fit.

MJ Walker

School: Jonesboro (GA) | Flo40 Rank: 22

There doesn't appear to be any rush here so do not expect a decision anytime soon. Walker will likely wait until the spring to announce and sign, but the finalists for the 6-foot-4 wing are California, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Maryland, N.C. State, Ohio State, and USC. This will undoubtedly be an amazing pickup later for any school.

Lonnie Walker

School: Reading (PA) | Flo40 Rank: 25

Coming off an official visit to Arizona last weekend, nothing has really changed. Walker is still considering Syracuse, Villanova, Arizona, Kentucky, and Miami. Walker's destination is as hard to predict as any prospect on this list. Stay tuned.
