Moving Sooner Or Later: The Top 5 Available 2017 Forwards
One prospect could commit any day now. Another could be one of the last ranked prospects off the board. Whether it happens now or later, these are the top 2017 forwards still available.

Kevin Knox

School: Tampa Catholic (FL) | Flo40 Rank: 6

Knox has made it clear there is no rush for a decision. The visit schedule for the 6-foot-8 wing reflects that, too. Knox takes his first official visit next weekend to Duke, visits Florida State and Kentucky in January, and will travel to North Carolina in February. Yes, it's just getting started. Duke has been active with multiple in-home visits and another visit this week, but the other finalists are still factors as well. He took an unofficial visit to Kentucky for Big Blue Madness earlier this month. Sit back and relax because Knox will not pledge until he is absolutely ready.

Billy Preston

School: Oak Hill Academy (VA) | Flo40 Rank: 14

Preston is completely open, but he has been on the move. In fact, he is somewhere right now:

The 6-foot-9 forward is visiting Indiana this weekend, and he has already taken trips to Kansas and Syracuse. Other schools reportedly on him include Kentucky, N.C. State, Maryland, and USC, among others. This is an intriguing recruitment to follow.

PJ Washington

School: Findlay Prep (NV) | Flo40 Rank: 15

The 6-foot-7 Washington was supposed to be at Arizona this weekend. However, that was cancelled, and now the combo forward is down to Kentucky, North Carolina, and UNLV. He has already been to Kentucky and North Carolina on officials, and he plans to visit UNLV the first weekend of November. A decision and signing will soon follow.

Brian Bowen

School: La Lumiere (IN) | Flo40 Rank: 16

Bowen dropped a top six of Creighton, UCLA, Arizona, N.C. State, Michigan State, and Texas earlier this month, and those schools are still actively pursuing him. UCLA visited most recently, and he has taken a visit to Michigan State Madness a couple of weeks ago. Texas saw him in October, too. The timetable is unclear, but the quest after Bowen will remain strong.

Kris Wilkes

School: North Central (IN) | Flo40 Rank: 19

There was a change of plans Saturday afternoon with the Indiana prep star:

Despite not being on the Hoosiers' campus for an unofficial visit, the 6-foot-8 wing has been there plenty and it likely doesn't change his upcoming decision, which could come at any point in time. Wilkes is down to Illinois, Indiana, and UCLA. Getting him to commit out of state would be tough, but it appears it is possible.
