R.J. Barrett needs no introduction. He is the Flo40 No. 1 prospect in the country, the face of high school basketball, the star for national power Montverde Academy (FL), and a future Duke Blue Devil.

The 6-foot-5 wing is as good as it gets at this level, and it is time to take a look at some of his best performances live on FloHoops.

As a sophomore, the smooth, left-handed Barrett lit up the 2016 Culligan City of Palms Classic in December with dynamic games against Jonesboro (GA) and Flo40 guard M.J. Walker, dropped a stacked IMG Academy (FL) team, and got some big-time buckets late in the championship game against Memphis East (TN).

For his performances, Barrett, a Canada native, collected Most Valuable Player honors.

A couple of weeks later, Barrett returned to put up big games in the ARS Rescue Penny Hardaway National Hoopfest.

Barrett returned to the Sunshine State in late January and got the best of 2017 Flo40 No. 7 Kevin Knox and Tampa Catholic (FL) in the ARS Rescue Rooter National Hoopfest in Tampa.

Then, in the spring, Barrett led the Nike EYBL in scoring at 28.0 points and grabbed 10.8 rebounds per game in eight games. He poured in 26 points in his debut against Southern Stampede (GA) and torched Team United (NC) for 41 points at Session III.

Barrett, who reclassified to 2018 this summer, has played on the biggest prep stages already, and perhaps none was bigger than his 38-point, 13-rebound, five-assist performance in Team Canada's stunning victory over Team USA in the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup this summer.

There was no doubt Barrett was going to make his final season one to remember. 

Montverde Academy, in large part to Barrett's efforts, maintained a No. 1 ranking for the entire regular season and is hungry to finish the story and take home a GEICO National title in March.
