PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Rashad Bolden, So., G, Mississippi College

Bolden played a pivotal role in Mississippi College's 76-70 win over Lee last Tuesday, scoring a career-high 35 points. The sophomore showcased efficiency converting 55 percent shooting (11-of-20) , including two three-pointers and a solid 11-of-14 (.786) from the free-throw line. The Jackson, Mississippi native also contributed with five rebounds, three assists, and a block.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Jordan Pyke, Fr., G, Union

Pyke earned his fourth GSC Freshman of the Week award after averaging 15 points behind 56 percent shooting with six rebounds and two assists as Union went 1-1 on the week. The rookie opened the week with his third double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds to go along with three assists and two steals in just 23 minutes in a 90-84 win over Auburn Montgomery. Pyke then followed up with 10 points against West Alabama as he was 6-of-6 from the charity stripe with three rebounds, and two assists.
