Anderson’s Diamond McDowell has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the eleventh week of the 2023-34 season, the Conference announced today.

McDowell, a junior from Asheboro, N.C., averaged 21.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, four assists and three blocks per game this week to help the Trojans knock off top-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne at home and defeat Lincoln Memorial on the road. McDowell shot 56.3 percent from the field and went 7-of-10 from the free throw line. McDowell currently ranks fourth in the SAC with 9.9 rebounds per game and eight in scoring with 16.8 points per game.
