Charleston is scheduled to play No.4 Alabama in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament on March 22. Here's a look at the gambling odds.

This past Selection Sunday Charleston earned the No.13 seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament matching them up against No.4 seed Alabama. These teams will take the floor at 6:35 pm on March 22 in Spokane, Wash.

This game marks Charleston's second consecutive year making the NCAA Tournament, and the fifth straight appearance for Alabama. Prior to this meeting Charleston and Alabama have never faced off in a preseason or postseason game. 

Last year, Charleston took a first round exit in the 2023 NCAA Tournament losing 63-57 to No. 5 San Diego State. Alabama made it to the Sweet Sixteen last year where they lost 71-64 to San Diego State as well. 

Alabama's 2023 run behind the No.2 2023 NBA Draft pick Brandon Miller marks the schools best season in history finishing with a 31-6 record. This year the Crimson Tide enter the tournament with a 21-11 record.

Alabama is the favorite to win with a -9.5 spread over Charleston.

When Does The 2024 NCAA Tournament Start?

The tournament will begin with Selection Sunday on March 17, followed by the First Four on March 19-20. 

After the opening round is complete, the field will be set with the top 64 teams and the first round will start on March 21-22.
