Wisconsin hockey will take on defending NCAA Men's Hockey Champion Quinnipiac in the first round of the NCAA Men's Hockey Tournament.
Wisconsin hockey and Quinnipiac hockey enter their matchup at the NCAA Men's Hockey Tournament both as unranked teams, but at No. 8 and No. 9, respectively, in the final Pairwise Rankings for the 2024 season.
The Wisconsin Badgers finished the season with an overall record of 26-11-2. At their best, Wisconsin is as dangerous as any team in the tournament. In 2024, the Badgers racked up wins against Minnesota, Michigan, Michigan Tech and No. 4 overall Michigan State.

Quinnipiac is, of course, the defending NCAA Men's Hockey National Champions. The Bobcats certainly have their eyes set on being the first back-to-back champions since Minnesota-Duluth in 2018-2019.
Quinnipiac defeated fellow NCAA Tournament teams Maine and Cornell this season, and took Boston College to the limits in the Bobcats' first game of the season--eventually losing in overtime, 2-1.
Wisconsin will play Quinnipiac on March 29, at 5:30pm ET in Providence, R.I.

Yes. Quinnipiac and Minnesota could play in the 2024 Fozen Four. The Bobcats and the Golden Gophers are on opposite ends of the NCAA Men's Hockey Bracket and could conceivably play a rematch of last year's Fozen Four Championship Final.
