The tournament is a 64-team format consisting of 42 automatic qualifiers and 22 at-large bids.

With the stage set, teams will have a quick turnaround from conference tournaments to prepare for the gauntlet.
Obviously, the number one goal is to bring a national title to their program. We know there will not be a repeat from Trine as they did not reach the tournament, but the 2022 and 2023 champions, Christopher Newport and Randolph-Macon, will see if they can return to glory.
