Drexel Men's Basketball 2025-26 Preview: Dragons Look to Build On Core
Drexel returns top guard Kobe MaGee and defensive standout Cole Hargrove as the Dragons seek to climb the CAA standings under veteran coach Zach Spiker.

Drexel men’s basketball enters the 2025-26 season looking to build on an 18-15 campaign that included a .500 record in CAA play. The Dragons return a roster that blends veteran leadership with young talent and have ambitions of pushing higher in the Coastal Athletic Association standings.

Former guard Kobe MaGee earned All-CAA third team recognition after averaging 14.0 points per game and shooting 43.9 percent from three. Former forward Cole Hargrove was also named to the league’s All-Defensive Team and anchors a front court that averaged 7.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game last season. With these key players leaving the roster, Drexel's play will have to adapt in the coming season.
Head coach Zach Spiker continues to lead the program after guiding Drexel to consistent CAA contention since 2016. Spiker’s Dragons were especially tough at home last year, posting an 8-6 mark at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
