The Campbell Camels women's basketball team enter the 2025–26 season looking to defend their status as one of the most consistent programs in the Coastal Athletic Association.

After finishing 22–13 overall and advancing to the CAA Championship Game last season, Campbell is once again poised to contend under head coach Ronny Fisher, who has built a defensive powerhouse in Buies Creek. 

The Camels return much of their core and add key new contributors to a roster that thrives on depth, experience, and discipline.

1. A Defensive Identity That Travels

Campbell built its success on defense last season, holding opponents to just 59 points per game, the third-best mark in the CAA. The Camels’ defensive intensity powered them to a 12-6 conference record and multiple road wins, including key victories at NC A&T and Drexel. Expect Fisher’s team to continue prioritizing defense first, with an experienced backcourt and size in the post making Campbell one of the hardest teams to score on in the league.

2. New Faces Complement Veteran Leadership

The 2025–26 roster blends returning veterans with young talent. Gianni Boone brings senior leadership and scoring ability, while forwards Peris Smith and Mikayla Taborn strengthen the frontcourt. 

The addition of freshmen N’na Konate and Jasmine Nivar adds athleticism and depth to a unit that already includes guard Jessica Woods. With multiple rotation players standing over six feet, Campbell’s roster gives Fisher the flexibility to play big or small depending on matchups.

3. A Challenging Schedule From Start To Finish

The Camels’ 2025–26 slate offers a blend of national tests and conference rivalries. Early-season trips to Tulane, Charlotte and East Carolina headline a nonconference schedule designed to prepare Campbell for the CAA grind. 

League play features home showdowns with Charleston, Hofstra and Towson, while the regular season wraps up against Stony Brook before heading to Washington, D.C., for the CAA Championship.
