3 CAA Women's Basketball Games to Watch This Week On FloCollege

CAA women’s hoops is in full swing. With conference play one month out (Jan. 2, 2026), the action is only getting hotter.
The preconference games are priming CAA teams for a fierce conference season, and these early matchups are strong indicators of talent to watch.

Charleston sits at the top of the standings with a 6-1 record. A roaring 135-41 victory over Covenant College kicked off its season. The Cougars took their first loss last Saturday, 70-59, at High Point but will look to bounce back into the win column with their upcoming game against Colorado.
Drexel and Hampton come in right behind at 4-3. Drexel opened with a perfect four-game start but has hit a skid in its past three outings. Hampton recently beat Buffalo in the Puerto Rico Classic.
As teams strengthen their play and build cohesion, here are three CAA matchups fans can’t miss:
UMass Amherst vs. Northeastern — Dec. 3, 4 p.m. ET
The UMass-Northeastern rivalry heads to Boston as the Huskies and Minutewomen battle on the court. UMass enters with a perfect 6-0 start, but Northeastern’s home crowd could give the Huskies an edge.
Loyola (Md.) vs. Towson — Dec. 4, 11 a.m. ET
Towson meets Loyola on the Tigers’ home court. After two straight road losses, this is an ideal chance for Towson to get back in the win column. Loyola enters at 1-7 following a 67-55 loss to Delaware. The Greyhounds did notch their first win against Yale last Sunday—perhaps a sign of momentum building.
Fordham vs. Hofstra — Dec. 6, 2 p.m. ET
Hofstra hosts Fordham in Hempstead, N.Y., on Saturday and is hungry for a win as it looks to turn a 1-5 start around. Fordham, meanwhile, carries a 6-3 record. Most of those wins have come at home (5-1), and its 1-2 road mark suggests the Rams’ success may be somewhat tied to Rose Hill Gym.
