Takayo Siddle and the Seahawks remain in the lead of the CAA men’s basketball standings as UNCW men’s basketball is off to a 5-0 start in conference play and is 16-2 overall, but a big test comes to Wilmington at 7 p.m. ET on Jan. 17.

The Seahawks will play Campbell, which is off to a 3-2 start in conference play and is 9-9 overall this season. Campbell comes to Wilmington after a narrow 83-82 loss on the road to Elon last week.

The weekend action starts Thursday night with five games, including the second-place Hofstra Pride traveling to fellow Long Island rival Stony Brook for a 7 p.m. ET showdown, and third-place Charleston traveling to Towson.

The CAA isn’t likely to get an at-large bid, which means the automatic qualifier will come down — as it usually does — to the conference tournament. According to KenPom rankings, Hofstra (No. 99) is the best team in the conference, followed by UNCW (No. 116).
