The 2025-26 CAA basketball season is well underway and with just about a month left until the CAA tournament, these players are showing up week in and week out.

For the CAA players, the accolades can pile up quickly if you are awarded a CAA player of week award. For the week of Jan. 26, the players of the week see two men's players who gave it their all for the week of CAA action. 

The CAA Player of the Week sees Christian Reeves picking up his first CAA accolade of the season but the third CAA award for Charleston. 

The CAA Rookie of the Week award sees Lewis Walker picking up his second CAA weekly honor and the second of the season for North Carolina A&T. 

With both of these teams back in CAA action on Jan.29 on FloCollege, here is an in depth look at these two award winners. 

CAA Men's Player Of The Week

The CAA Men's Player of the Week destroyed the competition on the floor and enter himself new career highs during the two contests for the most recent week of play.  

Christian Reeves nabbed his first CAA weekly award after an absolute clinic weekend of performances for Charleston. Helping lead the team to victories over Campbell and Elon, the redshirt junior center averaged a double-double across both games. 

In the contest against Campbell, Reeves rattled off a then career high 21 points and nine rebounds to help secure a Charleston win. 

The career high against Campbell was a short-lived high as Reeves set a new career high in the contest against Elon. The redshirt junior tallied 29 points and 18 rebounds in the contest against Elon. 

CAA Men's Rookie Of The Week

The CAA Men's Rookie of the Week is a familiar face across the CAA weekly awards. Lewis Walker grabs his second rookie of the week accolade and rightfully so after his performances against Hofstra and Towson.

Walker averaged roughly 28.5 points per game in both contests while also grabbing seven rebounds per contest. In the game against Hofstra the  redshirt freshman forward posted 24 points and seven boards to help secure a NC A&T victory. 

In the game against Towson, Walker posted a season-high 33 points with seven rebounds to help push the team to a victory over the Tigers, 

Charleston will look to continue their streak of greatness as they currently sit second in the CAA with a 6-2 record. North Carolina will look to keep winning big games as they sit towards the bottom of the pack currently 2-6 in CAA Play.
