Women's Players to Watch
DJ Smith, Campbell (Co-CAA Player of the Week)
Smith delivered one of the most impactful individual weeks in the conference, serving as the focal point of Campbell’s offense during a pivotal stretch. Comfortable creating his own shot and drawing defensive attention, the graduate guard consistently generated scoring opportunities while maintaining efficiency. His ability to sustain offensive pressure has been critical in keeping Campbell competitive against conference opponents.
Jlynn Counter, Charleston (Co-CAA Player of the Week)
Counter continued to anchor Charleston’s backcourt with a blend of scoring and playmaking that reflects his importance to the Cougars’ system. Acting as both initiator and finisher, he dictated tempo and made timely decisions in key moments. His steady leadership remains a driving force behind Charleston’s push near the top of the standings.
Andrej Shoshkikj, Stony Brook (CAA Rookie of the Week)
Shoshkikj’s emergence has added another dimension to Stony Brook’s lineup. The freshman guard has shown poise beyond his experience level, contributing as a scorer, distributor and defender. His growing role has coincided with the Seawolves’ climb into the conference’s upper tier, providing valuable flexibility in both transition and half-court sets.

Women's Players to Watch
Amaris Baker, Drexel (Co-CAA Player of the Week)
Baker continued to provide Drexel with a reliable offensive presence during a critical week of conference play. Her ability to generate scoring opportunities late in possessions has been especially valuable in tight games, helping the Dragons maintain position among the league’s top challengers.
Taryn Barbot, Charleston (Co-CAA Player of the Week)
Barbot’s influence on Charleston’s unbeaten run extended well beyond scoring. Her defensive activity, court vision and ability to push tempo have allowed the Cougars to remain composed in close situations. As one of the league’s most versatile guards, Barbot continues to set the tone for a team built on balance and depth.
Tamia Watkins, Elon (CAA Rookie of the Week)
Watkins has quickly established herself as a physical presence in the paint. The freshman’s rebounding and interior effort have given Elon consistency inside, providing a foundation as the Phoenix navigate a crowded middle tier of the standings.
Beyond the weekly honorees, Charleston’s depth continues to separate it from the field, while Drexel’s guard play and Stony Brook’s interior strength remain key factors shaping the race behind the Cougars.
