The Division II men’s basketball tournament begins around the country on March 14 as teams pursue a 2026 NCAA national championship.

Nova Southeastern men’s basketball has won two of the last three national championships and entered conference championship week ranked No. 1 in the nation as it tries to win No. 3.

One of its biggest rivals entering the NCAA Tournament is No. 2 Cal State East Bay, the 30-0 CCAA champions.

The Pioneers may be the best story in college basketball regardless of division. They went 11-17 a year ago only to build one of the longest winning streaks in basketball this season.

This is the first NCAA tournament appearance this century for the Pioneers. 

Meanwhile, Dallas Baptist won its second straight Lone Star Conference title.
