Players To Watch For Arkansas Basketball In The Bahamas

While Arkansas fans will get their first look at four incoming freshmen, they'll also see one of the Razorbacks' most experienced returning contributors back on the floor.

Billy Richmond III Returns As Arkansas' Defensive Leader

After earning 2026 SEC All-Defensive Team honors, Billy Richmond III enters the season as one of the leaders of the Razorbacks.

Richmond was one of just three Arkansas players to appear in all 37 games during each of the past two seasons, showcasing his versatility by playing point guard through power forward. He averaged 11.2 points and 4.3 rebounds in 2025-26 while starting 19 games.

In SEC play, Richmond ranked second in the conference in field-goal percentage (57.4%), converting 97 of his 169 attempts. He also found another gear late in the season, scoring in double figures in 12 of Arkansas' final 15 games and posting five consecutive 20-point performances after never previously reaching the 20-point mark in his first 60 career games.

Arkansas' Freshman Class Debuts

The Baha Mar Summer League will also mark the Arkansas debut for four newcomers, helping lower the Razorbacks' active roster average age to just 18 years, 7 months.

  • Maper Maker – A 7-foot Australian forward/center and consensus four-star prospect who spent last season at AUNZ Prep after competing on the EYBL circuit.
  • Ilia Frolov – The 7-foot Russian big man arrives from Real Madrid's system after earning Eurobasket.com All-Spanish U22 League Center of the Year honors.
  • Davion Thompson – A dynamic guard and former five-star recruit who reclassified into the 2026 class after starring with Link Academy, Team USA's U18 National Team and Nike EYBL.
  • Caleb Ourigou – A 6-foot-11 forward/center from Overtime Elite regarded as one of the nation's top frontcourt prospects.

Razorbacks Begin 2026-27 Season Preparations

Arkansas enters the summer after winning the 2026 SEC Tournament championship and will use the Baha Mar Summer League to begin preparations for defending its conference title when the SEC Tournament returns to Nashville in March.

The four-game international exhibition schedule gives Razorback fans an opportunity to see the team's newest additions in game action before the start of the 2026-27 college basketball season.

All four Arkansas games from the Baha Mar Summer League will stream live on FloCollege.
