Cincinnati Basketball fans will get a glimpse of what the new era of Bearcat basketball looks like when new coach Jerrod Calhoun leads his team on the floor in the Bahamas during the Baha Mar Summer League slate.
The Bearcats were supposed to play the first game on Sunday, Aug. 2, but travel delays are pushing the team's start back a little as UC fans have been waiting to see what Calhoun's team looks like leading up to the 2026-27 season.

Cincinnati joins other high-profile programs like Arkansas, South Carolina and Texas A&m, among others, at showcase that also features other top programs from Canada.
Calhoun returns to Cincinnati as the program's 29th head coach after being hired on March 24, 2026. The Ohio native and University of Cincinnati graduate arrives following a successful two-year run at Utah State, where he posted a 55-15 record, won the 2026 Mountain West regular-season and tournament championships and guided the Aggies to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.
The veteran coach has won at every stop during his career, compiling a 297-159 record with nine 20-win seasons as a head coach. Before Utah State, Calhoun led Youngstown State to the program's first Horizon League regular-season title and consecutive 20-win seasons, while also spending five seasons on Bob Huggins' staff at West Virginia after beginning his coaching career as a student assistant under Huggins at Cincinnati.
