Nike unveils the Kobe 11
Nike Basketball will reveal Kobe Bryant's last signature, the Nike Kobe 11. The first colorway, "Achilles Heel" will release on January 9, 2015.
With Kobe Bryant to retire at the end of this season, Nike is set to go out with a ceremonial bang for the 17-time All-Star. The Nike Kobe 11 is the last signature sneaker Kobe Bryant will rock on the court.
Recently unveiled, the Kobe 11 features technology unseen on the hardwood. Designed by Eric Avar, the low-cut sneaker features an all-Flyknit upper for flexibility and breathability. The Flyknit upper showcases the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) yarn for superior strength. The TPU reduces the shoe’s weight without compromising strength. For the in-sole, the Kobe 11 features lunarlon cushioning with zoom air in the heel. The outsole features a new traction pattern that is aimed to be best from the Kobe line.
