What a week for Chino Hills, not only is Chino Hills the home for one of the three winners of the $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot but they’re also the home to the #1 boy’s basketball team in the nation and Lonzo Ball.

In case you haven’t noticed, the speedy Lonzo Ball and Chino Hills Huskies have been outrunning their opponents all season. Currently ranked #1 in the FloHoops Top 25, the Huskies don’t look to slow down as the season progresses. Chino Hills runs a very high-tempo offense with only three set plays, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman, and full court passes.

Commanding the offense is top-recruit Lonzo Ball. Committed to UCLA, the class of 2016 point-guard is dominating the hardwood with great shoots and amazing no-look passes. At the Hoophall Classic, Ball had himself a ball with a triple-double that consisted of 18 assists against High Point Christian (#17 MaxPreps Computer). Lonzo plays with his two brothers LiAngelo, a junior, and LaMelo, a freshman who are both committed to UCLA.

Lonzo looks to lead Chino Hills to an undefeated season. The only test this season came against the Huskies in the form of the City of Palms Classic. The Huskies beat Jeffereson (Brooklyn, NY) by 1, Montverde (#3 in FloHoops Top 25) by 1 and Patrick (#23 in FloHoops) by 6 in OT. The next tough game Chino Hills will face is against Bishop Gorman on February 6th, 2016 at the Nike Extravaganza . Which you can catch exclusively on FloHoops .

Ball is a tall guard standing at 6’6 and weighing 175 pounds. When he gets to UCLA, he’s going to be playing in a different type of offense. UCLA head coach Steve Alford will look for Ball to command the offense and work off the dribble in his system. We’re sure Ball will live up to expectations for the Bruins, but first he has to complete his senior season.
