Players to Watch on the AAU Circuit, Part 1
These are the players to watch in the Nike EYBL 2016 season. We take a look at Gary Trent Jr., Michael Porter Jr. and more.

2017 6’ 6” SG Gary Trent Jr (Howard Pulley): 22.7 points, 6 rebounds, .478 FG%
Gary Trent Jr has led Howard Pulley to an undefeated mark in the early season and has been the catalyst for his team. He is currently second in points per game in EYBL play.
2017 6’ 5” SG Hamidou Diallo (The Rens): 20.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2 steals, .461 FG%
Hamidou Diallo is a big, athletic guard who continues to improve his game. The combination of size and athleticism makes him a tough matchup for opposing teams.
2017 6’ 0” PG Quade Green (PSA Cardinals): 12.9 points, 11 assists, 2 steals, .417 FG%
Quade Green has dished out ten or more assists in each of his first seven games. Green may be the most impressive true point guard on the AAU circuit through two weekends of play. Green has helped the PSA Cardinals to an impressive 6-1 record.
2017 6’ 5” SG Lonnie Walker (Team Final): 18.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3 assists, .511 FG%
Lonnie Walker is a dynamic scorer who can light up the scoreboard at any point in a game. His ability to score in a variety of ways from anywhere on the court makes him a nightmare for opponents. The offers are beginning to pile up for this scoring machine.
2019 6’ 0” PG Tyger Campbell (We All Can Go): 18.6 points, 5.1 assists, 1.7 steals, .406 FG%
Tyger Campbell is one of the few 2019 prospects playing in the 17U EYBL circuit. Campbell may be the top player in his class and has shown no drop off in play despite playing up two age groups.
2017 6’ 2” PG Trae Young (Mokan Elite): 18 points, 6.3 assists, 2 steals, .459 FG%
Trae Young is a crafty guard who can drain the three and drop dimes with consistency. Young is a deadly shooter and must be accounted for on each possession by the defense.
2017 6’ 0” PG Tremont Waters (Expressions Elite): 14 points, 4.9 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 steals, .444 FG%
Tremont Waters has filled up the stat sheet for Expressions Elite, leading his team to a strong start in EYBL play. Waters has established himself as one of the top guards in the nation because of his ability to get his teammates involved and his quick hands on the defensive end.
2017 6’ 3” PG Jaylen Hands (Compton Magic): 13.4 points, 5.6 assists, 2.8 steals, .424 FG%
Jaylen Hands leads Adidas Uprising in assists per game and ranks second in steals. He has had a very strong start to AAU play and may see his stock begin to rise if his strong play continues.
2017 6’ 5” SG MJ Walker (Atlanta Xpress): 18.2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, .465 FG%
MJ Walker is another talented, athletic guard on the AAU circuit. He is the fifth leading scorer in the Under Armour Association, but his Atlanta Xpress are just 3-5 in UAA play thus far. Look for Walker to continue his strong play throughout the summer.
2017 6’ 4” PG Jalek Felton (Team Felton): 17.9 points, 4.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 steals, .504 FG%
Jalek Felton ranks fifth in the Under Armour Association in assists and first in steals in the early going. The North Carolina commit has put up very strong numbers so far and is shooting over 50% on the year from the field.
2017 6’ 4” PG Trevon Duval (WE R1): 17.2 points, 4.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 2.2 steals, .413 FG%
Trevon Duval is widely regarded as the top guard in the 2017 class and is tied for fifth in assists and second in steals in the Under Armour Association. Duval has been playing at a high level, filling up the stat sheet, and leading his team to a 7-1 start.
2018 6’ 9” SF Michael Porter Jr (Mokan Elite): 19.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, .551 FG%
Michael Porter Jr is competing for the top spot in the 2017 class and is averaging a double-double in EYBL play. Porter has the length on the wing to be an elite defender and rebounder as his game progresses.
2017 6’ 8” SF Kevin Knox (E1T1 Elite): 21.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, .486 FG%
Kevin Knox is another player who is competing for the top spot in 2017 and has started off his AAU campaign strong, as he is third in the EYBL in scoring. Knox certainly has a high ceiling at the next level and will look to lead 4-3 E1T1 to a birth in the Peach Jam.
2017 6’ 7” SF Brian Bowen (Chicago Meanstreets): 19.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, .474 FG%
Brian Bowen was able to showcase his skills on the national stage during his high school campaign, leading La Lumiere to the title game at Dick’s Nationals. During his first two weekends of AAU play he has continued his excellent play for Meanstreets.
2017 6’ 5” SF Charles O’Bannon Jr (Las Vegas Prospects): 20.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals, .375 FG%
Charles O’Bannon Jr is tied for the lead in EYBL play with 21 three’s made through seven games. He is also tied for fourth in points per game, but is shooting under 40% on the season.
2017 6’ 7” SF Kris Wilkes (Indy Hoosiers): 20.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, .545 FG%
Kris Wilkes has been the best wing in the Under Armour Association through eight games and has his team sitting right in the middle of the standings at 4-4. Although he has played well one major knock on his game is his free throw shooting, he shot an abysmal 14-32 from the line.
Guards
