Team USA U17 is coasting into elimination play.

Over the weekend, the squad faced off against Turkey and Egypt, which resulted in victories. Against Turkey, Team USA was led with double-digit scoring from Markus Howard, Gary Trent Jr., Collin Sexton, and Carte-Are Gordon. Sexton led all scorers with 20 points and four assists. On the boards, Wendell Carter Jr. dominated with 14 rebounds. The final was 84-66 in favor of Team USA.

The matchup against Egypt was not as close as the bout with Turkey. In a blowout, Troy Brown led Team USA with a double-double, 15 points and 11 rebounds. Other performers of note included Howard with 19 points and six assists, and Carter Jr. with 11 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
