Nike Releases New Spot Featuring USA Basketball and Chance the Rapper
Nike teams up with Chance the Rapper for a patriotic-themed commercial celebrating USA Basketball.
Hip-hop and basketball are synonymous, and Nike has capitalized on the electric relationship in a new patriotic ad.
The ad features the men and women of USA basketball, as well as Chance the Rapper. Chance recently released a critically acclaimed album, "Coloring Book," and is a huge basketball fan.
The spot features screenshots of the city, presumably Chance's hometown of Chicago, with images of USA's athletes projected over the architecture. The soundtrack to the spot is Chance the Rapper dropping poetic verses such as, "People, people. We the people would like you to know. That wherever you go, we're right by your side."
The patriotic lyrics meshes well with Team USA imagery. You can catch the full ad below:
