The American women continue to show the world why they're the team to beat in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio. Sunday morning, they faced China in the final game of Group play and absolutely dominated. They pulled out to an early lead in the first quarter and continued to outwork the Chinese team for the entire game. The game was never competitive, with the American's just playing too well for the Chinese to really ever be a challenge.
China struggled from everywhere, often coming up short on three-point attempts. The only reason why they broke 60 points is because the American's started to play sloppy in the final minutes. That's not a knock on the American's by the way. At one point they led by more than 50.
Being completely serious, this American team is just too talented. I know I've said this in every recap, but there's really no team that offers a challenge. They opted to not have Elana Delle Donne play at all. They just didn't need her at all. This was an all-time beat'em down.
