One of the nation's top teams has received a big boost just prior to the start of the season. It's no secret No. 2 La Lumiere School (IN) was already set to challenge for a DICK'S Nationals title, but a new frontcourt addition makes the Lakers even stronger moving forward.
Head coach Shane Heirman confirmed to FloHoops that 2018 big man Franklin Agunanne has transferred from St. Anthony's (TX) and will play for La Lumiere this season.
A 6-foot-9 junior, Agunanne brings a needed physical presence down low for the Lakers, who recorded a 27-4 mark and made it to the national title game last season, and is a perfect complement to the pieces in place.
With sophomore point guard Tyger Campbell and Flo40 senior wing Brian Bowen (No. 16) as the returning core, Agunanne is the fourth key player to be added to La Lumiere this season, joining elite forward Jaren Jackson (Flo40 No. 21, Michigan State), shooting guard Jordan Poole (Michigan), and Australian big man Jacob Epperson.
