It was only a matter of time before Kentucky made its mark in the 2017 class, and what a big entrance it was on Thursday afternoon.
Nick Richards, the No. 18 prospect in his class, committed to the Wildcats during an announcement ceremony at The Patrick School (NJ). The 6-foot-11 Jamaica native chose Kentucky over finalists Arizona and Syracuse.

The announcement came as no surprise, since Kentucky was the presumed favorite for quite some time. And the Wildcats were just getting started.
A few short hours later, Findlay Prep (NV) forward and Flo40 No. 15 PJ Washington pledged to Kentucky over the likes of North Carolina and UNLV.

Now, with the usual great momentum, look for Calipari and his staff to land some big-time guards in the weeks and months to come. This is just the beginning.
