College Commitment Tracker: September 4-10

The decision could be seen from as far away as the range on his smooth jump shot. It likely came as no surprise Buddy Boeheim would ultimately play for his father, but an announcement over the weekend made it official.

Syracuse has one of the best shooters in the country locked in for 2018.

At 6-foot-5, Boeheim, the son of Orange head coach Jim Boeheim, scorched the nets at Nike Peach Jam in July for a team-high 12.2 points per game for City Rocks (NY) while shooting a scintillating 50 percent from 3-point range and 90 percent from the free-throw line. He becomes Syracuse's second commit in the class, joining Flo40 forward Darius Bazley.

Boeheim made the biggest splash of any prospect to commit this week, but check out the other pledges across the country from Sept. 4-10:

A brand new year deserves brand new rankings, but there is nothing too different about the first top 25 in 2018. The same powerhouses continued to take care of business this past week, still hold down the top spots, and will remain to be the teams to beat for the foreseeable future.
