A list of every Division I college basketball commitment from September 25 through October 1, 2017.
In an interesting and wild week in college basketball, more attention was seemingly focused on the widespread corruption scandal involving several programs than the start of practice. However, there were still some coaching staffs that made great things happen with recruiting.
Although a few prospects decommitted following the news of the FBI's corruption investigation, including 2018 Flo40 players E.J. Montgomery (Auburn) and Anfernee Simons (Louisville), nearly 50 more high school players announced their commitments to Division I schools across the country.
There were no Flo40 prospects who flew off the board, but the weekend started off hot with the electric Xavier Johnson committing to Nebraska.
Fordham had one of the biggest steals of the week in landing tough E1T1 (FL) point guard Nick Honor, who averaged 11.9 points and 4.6 assists during the Nike EYBL regular season.

Wichita State also got a nice pickup in Montverde Academy CBD (FL) big man Morris Udeze.

Then, Texas head coach Shaka Smart hooked in Jaxson Hayes before the weekend.
