A look at every Division I college basketball commitment just before the early signing period from October 30-November 5, 2017.
Call it the quiet before the storm. That would likely be the most accurate way to describe it. There weren’t nearly as many commitments this past week, but that’s because many of the nation’s top prospects are waiting to create shockwaves throughout the next few days.
With 2018 Flo40 No. 1 R.J. Barrett announcing his college decision on Nov. 10, and other ranked prospects such as No. 4 Bol Bol and No. 10 Keldon Johnson expected to commit this week as well, the early signing period, which runs from Nov. 8-15, is about to change the college game for next season.
Including Barrett, Bol, and Johnson, there are still 15 Flo40 prospects still uncommitted.
This past week saw some fireworks, however, as 2018 No. 38 Kamaka Hepa gave Texas a massive boost with a pledge, while 2019 Flo40 prospects De’Vion Harmon (No. 33, Oklahoma) and Grant Sherfield (No. 35, UCLA) ended the process early.
