FloHoops Expands College Coverage With Cayman Islands Classic

The Cayman Islands Classic is set to bring some heat to early-season college basketball with a stacked lineup, and the inaugural event will be live on FloHoops.

FloSports, the innovator in live digital sports and original content, announced the agreement to air the event on Thursday.

“FloSports is honored to partner with the inaugural Cayman Islands Classic to stream every game of the event to fans across the world,” FloSports SVP Global Rights Acquisition & Subscription Phil Wendler said. “With teams from the Big Ten, American Athletic Conference, Mountain West, and Conference USA, this is shaping up to be one of the must-watch preseason tourneys.”

“There’s a lot of excitement building up for the Cayman Islands Classic, and we’re thrilled to partner with FloSports to reach a global audience of fans on FloHoops.com,” Caymax Sports Ltd. Chief Strategy Officer Jill Turk said. “FloHoops has become one of the leading sources for elite college basketball, so this is an excellent partnership for us to showcase our event in its first year.”

The Cayman Islands Classic takes place Nov. 20-22, featuring several teams that made the NCAA tournament last year, including South Dakota State University, University of Iowa, University at Buffalo, and current AP No. 12 team University of Cincinnati. Other participants include University of Richmond, University of Wyoming, University of Louisiana Lafayette and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

FloHoops will have live coverage of additional Iowa Hawkeyes games against Grambling St. on Nov. 16 and Northern Illinois on Dec. 29.

Coverage of the Cayman Islands Classic starts Nov. 20, with University of Louisiana Lafayette facing Iowa at 12:00 p.m. ET. The initial schedule of tournament matchups on FloHoops.com also includes: 

South Dakota State vs Wyoming - 2:30 p.m. ET

Richmond vs UAB - 5:00 p.m. ET

Buffalo vs Cincinnati - 7:30 p.m. ET
