Memphis East (TN) and Montverde (FL) still hold down the top two spots in the FloHoops Top 25, but several more teams are on the rise behind them.
The high school season is less than a month old and it’s already crazy. The first series of games and showcases set the tone for a wild ride ahead, and it’s time to see where these teams stack up heading into a pivotal month full of events.
Between key transfers and a few injuries, there has been plenty of drama so far, but none of that holds much weight until it carries over to the games.
Despite battling eligibility issues with transfers James Wiseman and Ryan Boyce to begin the 2017-18 campaign, Memphis East (TN) has lived up to the preseason No. 1 billing with a big win over now No. 5 Findlay Prep (NV), which added 2018 Flo40 No. 4 Bol Bol to the roster. No. 2 Montverde Academy (FL) is just as good as advertised and No. 3 Oak Hill Academy (VA) used some preseason struggles to become a dominant force once again.
