LeBron James Is Not Human, But Can He Actually Beat The Warriors?
LeBron James is not human, but does he have enough left to beat the Golden State Warriors in the 2018 NBA Finals?
This is the fourth time this has happened. Yes, the fourth straight NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors, but I'm talking about the fourth time I've written out these confidence picks. I was confident in a Boston Celtics vs Houston Rockets matchup, but you know — LeBron.
Maybe it was wishful thinking.
So now on the day of the start of the NBA Finals, the eighth straight time LeBron James will be playing for the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy, I give you eight things I am most confident in for the NBA Finals.
Confidence Picks presented by Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans
- LeBron James is not human. And he will continue to do freakish not human things.
- The Golden State Warriors don't look right. This is not a groundbreaking statement. But it was only a few short weeks ago that I would have predicted a Warriors sweep over the Cavs in the Finals. That will not happen now.
- These two teams will set records for three-pointers attempted in an NBA Finals.
- The Cavs shot 32 percent on 206 attempts from three in the Eastern Conference Finals. They will shoot slightly better than this in the Finals.
- The Warriors shot 38 percent on 225 attempts from three in the Western Conference Finals. They will continue to shoot right around that mark in the Finals.
- We will get one phenomenal Nick Young moment, some fantastic J.R. Smith moments, Draymond Green will get tossed from at least one game.
- This series will go six games.
- The Warriors will win.
- Steph Curry will win the NBA Finals MVP.
- LeBron James will stay in Cleveland for reasons I will never understand.
