Penny Hardaway, Memphis Making A Push For Nimari Burnett

Nimari Burnett didn’t post an edit for it but he did confirm that he was down to four schools: Michigan, Texas Tech, Oregon and Alabama — with visits set to each one.

He’s already visited Michigan. Next up, he'll check out Oregon, followed by Alabama and Texas Tech in October.

But one of the nation’s up and coming powerhouses has now gotten involved: new kid on the block Penny Hardaway. Hardaway met with Nimari Burnett at his home on Sunday and was joined by his entire staff.

Why is this significant?

His AAU and school teammate, Jalen Green, is predicted by many to land at Memphis and Penny is making a major push. Burnett currently doesn’t hold an offer from the Tigers but bringing the full staff into his home could trigger that.

In addition, a team once considered a leader, the Louisville Cardinals, were cut from his list. He was slated to visit them this past weekend.
